Danville’s 2nd Hot Summer Nights Car Show will be held this Thursday, August 18, 2011

Danville Hot August Nights EventThis streets are crowed with car enthusiasts, especially those who like the cars from the 1960’s thru 1976 era of cars. Brings back memories.

The downtown streets of Danville will be closed to traffic and instead lined with muscle cars, hot rods and more. To really bring us back in time there will be live bands playing 50’s and 60’s music to get people in the dancing mood.

There will be plenty of food and beverage booths and if you prefer a sit down meal stroll on over to the many restaurants that line the streets.

This event started in 1993 by locals who wanted to stiumulate business for the downtown merchants. What better way to draw in hundreds of people than a car show. This is an easy venue for us to get our husbands, boyfriends or significant other excited about attending. Even if you are not a car enthusiast it is still fun to look at the cars and marvel at how well some of these cars have either been restored or kept in their original condition.

The Danville Hot Summer Nights Hot Rod and Classic Car Show brings visitors from Danville, San Ramon, Alamo, Livermore, Pleasanton, Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill, Concord, Orinda, Lafayette and Moraga – Contra Costa County, Alameda County and the greater San Francisco Bay Area.

Keller Williams Realty will be there giving away gift cards for local restaurants – so if you are in the area – please stop by – I would love to meet you. Again that is Thursday August 18 from 4 to 9 PM.

Look for the write-up after the show I promise to take lots of photos of the cars.
