It would appear if you use a word long enough and people understand the meaning, it will eventually get added to the dictionary. Here are the most recent words added to Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary related to real estate:

Underwater – “having, relating to, or being a mortgage loan for which more is owed than the property securing the loan is worth.” 2012 update of the Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary

Another term which I just recently heard “man cave” yet it seems that it has been used for quite sometime to make it to the dictionary. A “man cave” a room or space designed according to the taste of the man of the house to be used as his personal area for hobbies and leisure activities.
