Two exotic car events will be held on Downtown Danville in the month of September. I say exotic cars because they are not your everyday type of car. Many of these cars are collector items and some of the owners have more than one in their garage.

Danville Italian Car Show

The first of the events is Sunday September 4 from 11 AM to 3 PM feature Italian Cars. The roundup includes Lamborghinis, Masaretis, Alfa Romeo and my favorite Ferraris.  In addition to car gazing, there will be food specials, wine tastings and music.

This event is Free – location Sycamore Valley – at the Livery. Bring your camera!

Danville Concours d’Elegance

The second event is the Danville Concours d’Elgance. This will be the 7th year this event has been featured. Having lived in Carmel we were fortunate enough to  attend the famous Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. The Danville  Concours d’Elegance is a mini Pebble Beach car show and there are some really pretty cars lining the streets of Downtown Danville.

This event is scheduled for Sunday September 18th with the cars lined up and down Hartz Avenue. This is more than just a car show – all the proceeds will benefit The Michael J. Fox Foundation to support research for Parkinson’s disease.

For those who want to dine among some really cool classic and exotic cars the night before the street event  enjoy a wonderful elegant dinner served at the Blackhawk Museum Saturday September 18th.

As my husband is a car enthuisiast = no matter the type of car – so we will be attending both events. The Italian Car Show as lookers and the Concours as volunteers to support this worthy cause.

Hope to see you on the Streets of Danville.
